Out for lunch

..kind of. I am moving around a little, and have not updated this blog for a while,- for that I am sorry! I will try to get back on track again, but I have a feeling the coming sketches will be done in a slightly shorter time frame than a lot of the ones up until now have been.

Day 267

Inspired by a horny toad, also known as a Desert Horned Lizard. Spent about 2 hours.

Day 266

Quick doodle, a few minutes, no ref.

Day 265

Quick doodle, a few minutes, no ref.

Day 264

Playing around with silhouettes, no ref. Approx. 20 min.

Day 263

Day 262

About 45 min, used ref

Day 261

Used this ref, and spent about 50 min.

Day 260

Day 259

About 50 min, no ref

Day 258

Quick sketch, 10-15min or so. No ref.

Day 257

My friend Katja- the saint. Used ref and spent about 2 hours on it.

Day 256

If I am slightly stubborn,- it's genetic! About 1.5 hours. Ref for horns, face done from memory.

Day 255

I have tried my hand at caricatures again today. If one of you can tell who it is (he's not as famous all over the globe.. though he should be!), then I deem it a success! I spent way too long on it, and obv. used some ref.

Day 254

A sketch for the monkey. No ref.

Day 253

Inspired by the tutorial yesterday, I figured I'd do one more, but this time do the opposite with regards to scale, and add shadows, not just highlights. I had a lot of fun with this! Hope you like. It took me about 2 hours. I used all my own brushes this time round.

Day 252

I decided to try another style this time. Inspired by this tutorial, I came up with this. I took me a few hours to do.

Thanks to http://dothackersdaichi.deviantart.com/ for the border brushes, and hair ornament.

Day 251

About 1.5 hours, no ref.

Day 250- Happy New Year!

And so 2011 begins, with me being about 30 sketches behind schedule... but it IS a new year and hence full of new possibilities! So I will do my very best to catch up! Starting off,- a little gnome, done with charcoal, no ref, approx. 10 min.

God Jul

I am away from my computer, but will still do some drawing (thinking they will be quite short though), I will post them when the festivities of yuletide have subsided somewhat.

In the mean time: A jolly Yuletide to you all!
